Unsouled (6x9 Trade Paperback 2nd Ed)
Will Wight
Lindon is a normal boy in a world where everyone else has some sort of power. He wants nothing more than to be like everyone else but resigns himself to using his brains to level the playing field. Eventually, he gets his big break. Great first book to the start of a hopefully amazing series.

The Dragon Republic
R. F. Kuang
A good follow up to The Poppy War. I again really enjoyed the narration. The voice actor takes the story from good to great.

This was a really good book, it read similar to Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was due to the graphic nature of a few scenes later in the books that I did not care for. It seemed a bit gratuitous, though I can see why the author put them in there.

Dungeon Madness
Dakota Krout
The 2nd book in this series didn't disappoint.

I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. It's a low-stakes, LITRPG like book. I listened via graphic audio on Hoopla, so there was a full cast and sound effects that helped immerse me into the story.

Fourth Wing
Rebecca Yarros
This book had a lot of twist and kept me interested the whole time. In the beginning General Sorrengail, forces Violet to join Rider's Quadrant, a place where people become riders and form bonds with dragons. This was also Violet's original plan of following her father's path and becoming a scribe, responsible for documenting history. i think this made her feel angry and because her mom was going to decide, and she has to agree. She wasn't mentally or physically prepared for this challenge and have to do anything to survive. Violet also had to deal with a chronic illness and having weak joints, she was incredibly awesome and strong. Her fears during challenges in the rider's quadrant, and how she conquered them with it showed that she had lots of knowledge. Her rollercoaster of emotions—fear, anger, desire, happiness—kept me amazed.

If He Had Been With Me
Laura Nowlin
I really liked this book because it was about a teenage girl struggles in life and it was VERY sad. But I really liked the plot and the writing style of the book. But if I could change one thing about this book it would be to change the ending because it made the book sadder than it already was.
